08/05/11   The PKC has announced that the World Championship Coon Hunt will expand by 3 days, October 17 - 30 with the 24th as a day off to get ready for the Championship.

05/10/11   Illinois Junior Hereford Association will hold the 2011 preview on June 17, 18 and 19th at the Marion County Fairgrounds.

04/01/11  Cleanup of limbs from ice storm and rock work on roads last several weeks as we get ready for fairground events.

01/09/11  Little Egypt Carnival has been contracted again for the 2011 Marion County Fair......Little Egypt has been a long time tradition of the fair.

01/08/11  No Talent Show or Horse Racing during the 2011 Marion County Fair....Cutbacks do to State Funding Less.

10/05/10  Officers elected for 2011.  David Sullen - President, Doug Telford - Vice President, Russell Vandeveer - Secretary, Bob Bruce - Assistant Secretary and Charlie Fulton - Treasurer.

September 8, 2010, the new ceiling has been added under the grandstand just in time for power days.

August 27, 2010....New ceiling to be installed under the grandstand walkway.  It has always been open, will now be closed.  The ceiling will be about 10 feet from the concrete walkway.

The 2010 PKC World Championship Coon Hunt will return to the fairgrounds October 21 - 30, 2010
